Clark Fork River Fishing Report

*Report as of 05/01/09:
- General: 2600 cfs @ Turah, 9000 cfs @ Missoula, 12200 cfs @ St. Regis. It's been droping for over a week now and will fish by the weekend. Skwala's and BWO's will fish on the warmer afternoons and nymphing will be productive as well. Going underneath with basic bead head nymph patterns or the worm will produce some fish but your gona have to work for them. Your other options are streamers like buggers, JJ specials, yuk bugs and sculpins or tandem nymph rigs with stonefly nymphs, princes, worms, flashy PTs, or eggs fished deep under an indicator. If you find yourself fishing above town try some streamers.
- Hatches: Midges, Skwalas, BWO's
- Fly Patterns: Griffith's gnats and Palomino midges, Stonefly nymphs like rubberlegs and double-bead stones, big princes, san juan worms, copper johns, pheasant tails, buggers, yuk bugs, sculpins, JJ specials
- Other Information: Come check out the new Simms Vibram soled wading boots, and the new Ross Reels. Both are now in stock! Now open on Sundays from 9-12 p.m.!!
